The 10 Commandments of the Ladle

1. Thou shalt treat all guests as if they are in your own home, with courtesy and concern.

2. Thou shalt bring only as many volunteers as you need- too many people in the kitchen could be dangerous.

3. Thou shalt not begin serving dinner until 5:30 and after the blessing or grace is said.

4. Thou shalt not let the guests serve drinks or carry soup bowls to their tables.

5. Thou shalt not put bread on the table before the dinner begins or serve dessert until after guests have eaten the main meal.

6. Thou shalt always wear gloves if touching food directly, particularly bread.

7. Thou shalt not give take-outs until 6:30.

8. Thou shalt not put anything on the Free Table without consulting the Ladle Coordinator or leave items for guests to take themselves

9. Thou shalt make sure that no leftovers remain in the refrigerator. Make sure the refrigerator doors are securely closed.

10.Thou shalt not leave without vacuuming, checking lights and ovens, unplugging coffee pots, mopping the kitchen floor, taking out the garbage and escorting Jean to her car.

THANK YOU.
